What is
Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy?

Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy is a type of clinical hypnotherapy based on in-depth neuroscience research. It combines scientifically proven strategies with hypnosis to target specific issues and goals.

Hypnotherapy & Online Hypnosis

Most people enter a state of hypnosis several times a day without even realising it. Have you ever found yourself ‘zoning out,’ while watching TV, doing the dishes, or trying to focus on something else? This is a form of hypnosis – a naturally relaxing and enjoyable state of mind.

During solution-focused hypnotherapy sessions, you will be guided into this naturally relaxing state through focused attention and positive visualisation. This provides more space for the brain to focus on positive thoughts and suggestions, working with the subconscious to facilitate long-term change.

Sessions also involve general discussion about progress towards your goals and current mental well-being. The free consultation is a chance for me to explain a little more about how hypnotherapy works and for you to decide if I am the right therapist for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can hypnotherapy be done remotely?

Yes! I offer zoom hypnotherapy sessions for clients throughout the country, as well as in-person Solihull hypnotherapy at multiple Hypno Lounge locations.

How effective are online sessions?

Online hypnotherapy can be just as effective as in-person sessions, if not more. The comforting surroundings of your own home can make it easier to relax and benefit from the session.

What do I need to prepare for the first consultation?

There is nothing to prepare for the free consultation, and there is no hypnosis during this session. It is simply a friendly chat to find out about the lifestyle changes you are hoping to make and learn a little bit more about the way clinical hypnotherapy works.

I will recommend how many sessions of hypnotherapy you might need but there will be no obligation to make a booking.

Will I be able to drive after a hypnotherapy session?

Yes, you are perfectly safe to drive after in-person or online hypnosis and may even feel more alert than usual.

Can I get stuck in a trance?

No, you are in control at all times and can never get ‘stuck’ in hypnosis. Despite what is portrayed on television, no one can be hypnotised against their will.

How many sessions will I need?

How many sessions you might need depends on you, your goals, and the scope of your issue. Solution-focused therapy accelerates progress, meaning many see results in as little as 6 to 12 sessions. I can make a suggestion for the number of sessions required during your initial consultation.

Are the sessions confidential?

Yes, all sessions are 100% confidential.

Are you insured?

Yes, I am fully insured and have an enhanced DBS certificate along with all the relevant qualifications.

What qualifications do you have?

I am qualified by the Clifton Practice as a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist. I am also accredited by the National Council of Hypnotherapy (NCH), the Association of Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy (AFSFH), and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
